Released just over one year after the original UNLOCKED project, UNLOCKED 1.5 serves as the re-edition of Denzel Curry and Kenny Beats‘ first collaborative album and animated film. The project was announced on February 18, 2021 with a video teaser that premiered on Denzel Curry’s YouTube channel. The project features remixes of the original UNLOCKED tracks with new co-production from new producers such as The Alchemist, Jay Versace and Charlie Heat. The new renditions are complemented by many guest appearances, including from Denzel’s past collaborators Joey Bada$$ and Kenny Mason.
