"Rebecca Black Was Here" is the second EP by Rebecca Black, her first since 2017’s "RE / BL". In the years following that release, Black would release a number of non-album singles before releasing the lead single from this EP, “Girlfriend”, in January 2021. The song, intended to “celebrate queerness”, was inspired by a former girlfriend of Black’s. The EP was preceded by two more singles in the months leading up to its release, “Personal” and “Worth It for the Feeling”.
