Escape From Television

"Escape from Television" is a compilation album by Czech-American musician Jan Hammer, released in 1987 by MCA Records. The album features a selection of instrumental tracks composed and performed by Hammer for the American television series Miami Vice, including the show's main theme. It also includes "Before the Storm," a track that was not used in the series. Several tracks from the album were released as singles. "Miami Vice Theme" had previously been released in 1985 and became a worldwide hit, reaching number one on the US Billboard Hot 100. Other singles included "Crockett's Theme," which also achieved international success .
