Stranger is Yung Lean’s third official studio album, released on November 10th, 2017 via Year0001. Many of the tracks are reminiscent of Lean’s side project, Jonatan Leandoer127. Along with the usual Lean lyricism, there are many themes expressed in the album of loss and living beyond another’s death, most likely referring to the death of his U.S. manager Barron Machat in 2015. The title of the project as well as many of the themes and lyrics presented throughout the album are references to supernatural horror novels and gothic literature.
