Super Sunset (Analog) is the third official extended play by Canadian pop singer-songwriter Allie X. Originally released in cassette format in late 2018, the EP received a digital release on January 1, 2019, functioning as an experimental companion to Super Sunset. Designed as a two-sided analog project, the EP is divided into an A-side and a B-side. The A-side features analog reinterpretations of select tracks from Super Sunset, intentionally processed to sound warmer, lo-fi and more textural, emphasizing imperfection and nostalgia over digital polish. These versions lean into the aesthetic of physical media, reinforcing the era’s fixation on artificial glamour .
