The Cult regrouped in 2000 with a renewed sense of purpose and drive. The bands last release of new material (1994 self titled) was half baked and out of step with the alt movement of the time. The band sounds alive on this recording thanks to hard rocking guitars and a bit more crunch then the bands 80's heyday. Former Guns N Roses and Velvet Revolver drummer Matt Sorum(drummer from the classic Cult album Sonic Temple) re-joins Astbury and Duffy to round out the strongest line up in the bands history.
