The Land Is Inhospitable and So Are We is the seventh studio album by Mitski, released on September 15, 2023, through Dead Oceans. Produced by Patrick Hyland, it was recorded at the Bomb Shelter studio in Nashville and Sunset Sound in Los Angeles. The album was promoted by the release of the singles "Bug Like an Angel", "Star" and "Heaven" in July and August 2023, respectively.
