AR is the debut EP by Addison Rae, released on August 18, 2023, through Sandlot Records. The project blends pop, bubblegum pop, electropop, synth-pop, and dance-pop influences, earning praise for its catchy hooks and nostalgic nods to 2000s and 2010s pop. The lead single, "Obsessed", was released on March 19, 2021. Initially, Rae planned to release a full album in 2021 but shelved the project after mixed reactions to "Obsessed". However, leaked demos in 2022 gained a cult following, especially among queer pop enthusiasts, reigniting her confidence to release music. In August 2023, Rae officially announced AR, featuring unreleased tracks .
