Since the accident, he has grappled with feeling disconnected from his identity and struggled to bridge the gap between his past and present self. To recapture the essence of his earlier work, Harmless imposed limitations during the writing process, using only the instruments and technology available to him before the accident. Despite physical challenges and emotional strain, he poured himself into the creation of the album, collaborating with Yves Rothman at Sunset Sound to produce a body of work he is immensely .
