Odeal is a German-born British-Nigerian singer/songwriter. Odeal's music is a blend of Afrobeats, R&B, and U.K. dance and rap music, informed by his "nomadic life" and cross-cultural upbringing. He began writing and producing music during his time in a Nigerian boarding school, a period which introduced him to artists like Fela Kuti, Burna Boy, and Wizkid. Upon arriving back in the U.K. in 2017, he became known as leading the U.K. variant of the alté scene
