¥$ is an American hip-hop duo composed of Ye (formerly known as Kanye West) and Ty Dolla $ign. The duo formally emerged in October 2023 when Ty Dolla $ign publicly announced that he and Ye were preparing to release a collaborative album under the name ¥$. Prior to adopting the joint artist identity, the two had an extensive creative history spanning nearly a decade, appearing on each other’s songs and contributing writing, production, and vocal performances across multiple projects.
