Jon Christensen

Jon Christensen (born Jon Ivar Christensen on 20 March 1943; died 18 February 2020) was a Norwegian jazz drummer noted for his work with Jan Garbarek, for being a central participant in the Jazz band, Masqualero, as well as being a session drummer for several ECM Records artists during the seventies and eighties. In the late 1960s, Christensen played alongside Jan Garbarek on several recordings by the composer George Russell. He also was a central participant in the Jazz band
